Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor Certification

Empower Yourself to Teach Life-Saving Skills

CPR and first aid expertise are invaluable skills that extend beyond the realm of scuba diving. As an Emergency First Response Instructor, you gain the knowledge and ability to teach skills based on internationally recognized emergency care guidelines, making you an essential instructor for everyone. At Scuba Instructor Academy, we’ll equip you with the skills to create a comfortable learning environment, ensuring your students become confident in their emergency care abilities.

PADI Emergency First Response Instructor: Your Role in Saving Lives

Becoming an EFR Instructor opens doors to offering courses that equip individuals to respond effectively to emergency situations. What sets EFR courses apart is their emphasis on easy, hands-on learning in a supportive setting. Your students will leave the course with newfound confidence and the skills to assist those in need.

Prerequisites and Benefits of EFR Instructor Certification:

To enroll in the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you must be at least 18 years old and possess Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the last 24 months. While an EFR Instructor rating is a prerequisite for becoming a PADI Instructor, you don’t have to wait until you’re ready to pursue professional scuba instruction. You can complete or refresh your EFR Instructor training during your PADI Instructor training.

What to Expect in the EFR Instructor Course

As an EFR Instructor, your role is to create a positive learning environment, guiding students through the process of understanding and mastering life-saving techniques. In this course, you’ll learn how to structure and organize EFR courses, and you’ll gain practical experience in:

  • Presenting course content.
  • Encouraging self-discovery in students.
  • Evaluating student comprehension and skill proficiency during hands-on skills practice.
  • Managing scenario-based learning experiences.

Additionally, you may have the opportunity to earn college credit for completing the Emergency First Response Instructor course.
